Random Photos


Nice photo of the Ferris Wheel during the evening at the World's Fair. I never rode the thing during my many visits to the fair, something I regret not doing now. I bet it was a nice view from up there, looking down at the fair.



Looks like some people still remember the great Seymour D. Fair, as he is on display on this 2009 Mardi Gras float in the above photos. In fact, it looks like the whole float is a 1984 World's Fair tribute.



I really like this faraway view of the fair in the above photo.



No clue about the above photo, just found it doing a random search on the Internet. It says it was taken at the World's Fair.

  1. It was fun seeing Seymour again. Nice to know he wasn't forgotten like most of the fair seems to have been. Thanks for keeping the memory alive!

  2. I remember that troll guy, he was outside the gift shop of one of the European countries - can't remember which one, of course.

    I absolutely LOVED the Fair; about wore my season pass out! Thanks for bringing back the memories.

  3. my 8th grade trip was to the world's fair. it was a great time. i loved seeing the pic you have of the pelican on the float. I still have my seymour stuffed animal from then.

  4. I've seen a troll just like that in the Norway pavilion at Epcot in Disney World.
